Peace in my Time - the Journey Begins

children at peace

This blog is about my peace journey on two fronts:

1. How I can get internal peace in my lifetime

2. How through my work and being I can bring more peace in the world

Ever since I can remember I have been drawn to doing some sort of peace work in my lifetime. I have heard the proverbial “knock” for a long time and I have been ignoring it, but it just won’t go away.

Many years ago when I did some volunteering work at a school in South India, I had one defining moment whilst I was amongst some orphaned children. That moment made me reflect on my previous life and ultimately led to life coaching, writing and speaking.

In that moment, I felt more peace, love and presence than ever before or since. I have strived ever since to recapture that feeling of joy, bliss and rapture.

At the same time over the years I have been passively involved in various peace projects without ever being fully committed to the cause.

Over the coming months I shall write here about my daily experiences and thoughts of bringing more peace into my own world and thereby the rest of the world.

Please do join me on my journey…

Peace is deep within my soul… I found that being in nature with the trees and the flowers the long grasses and the breeze, dreaming and gazing to the deep blue sea and watching the dancing sun lit crystals on the crest of the waves, it brings me much joy to my heart, to be held by nature is my healer. peace within

    Wonderful synchronicity Arvind,

Have been pondering over how to nurture and induce a more consistent feeling of inner peace that is consciously reflected outwards in my thoughts, words and actions.

One thing that seems to help a lot is ‘practise’. There are certain actions that aim to nuture that part of me that is capable of virtue. Inner actions such as meditation and fasting. Outer actions such as experiencing nature and voluntary activities..

I recently wrote a piece about fasting explaining its transformational effect on me and add a link here to encourage some blog bifurcations :) ..

    Hello My friend!

This is just a perfect idea for an imperfect time. Someone sent this to me and I want to share it with you:

Peace is not something you wish for:
    It’s something you make,
    Something you do,
    Something you are,
    And something
    You give away
    Robert Fulgbum

    Give Peace away today…

And perhaps acts of kindness can bring some peace?
Thank you for adding so much to that event as well.

Wishing you abundant peace, joy and love,
    Julette Millien

    Hello Julette

Good to connect with you yet again via the cyberworld.

Thanks for sharing those kind words. Maybe we can work together on creating 21 days of peace on Facebook!

    Love and best wishes

    Arvind
